Our review concludes that to make interventions successful, smart, and sustainable, they need to be implemented as multi-sectoral intervention packages anchored in nurturing care. including those implementing nurturing care for early childhood development (NCfECD) [2]. This review paper looks at the current impacts of COVID-19 on nurturing care in Kenya, with relevance to the sub-Saharan African region, focusing on the period of conception to 4 years of age. Those people who do not acquire these skills early, making it easier to learn and adapt through childhood and adolescence are likely to be left further behind.
